Planning my digipak

To make a coherent and stylistic digipak of course planning it first was necessary. However, like it is said , not all plans come to fruit , let's see if I can pull off the following ideas:

Front Cover

It is easy to observe that my drawing skills are not up to the par. Nevertheless , I shall now explain my ideas to you. For the front cover, I decided to portray my artist , while that is not a convention I seem to be following in the rest of my work. I believe this will be an element of branding for the artist himself. My idea dictates that there should be dripping blood in the background, on the top or as an overlay on the text "Tulips In A Cup". The red dripping will tie together elements from the video and the final digipack. Moreover, since the picture I have chosen already has concrete behind it, I thought of adding a cover overlay of dark grey, blending it to multiply with the background and using brushes to make scratches. This would give it a better overlook. I also decided to download brushes from the internet for photoshop to make blood splatters.

Inlay

The inlay will consist of wires/straight lines that are warped here and there to make ends and sink holes to almost look like a turbulent sea. Except, I will add tulips to the sink holes and bends to symbolize how some sink and some rise in a wave that was meant to raise all ships. The inspiration for the design struck from this graphic designer that I follow on Instagram to stay up to date on techniques.

CD Front

Similarly, I wanted to make a wire frame Tulip that could be shown on the the cd cover itself. I am not sure how to pull this off yet , from my experience I know that I can make the stems and the leaves from the 3D revolve or extrude option in illustrator , but for the Tulip itself I might have to make it in AutoCAD. However, as I am not as familiar with the software itself the idea for a wire tulip is making me nervous.

Back Cover

I took some photographs while filming the Tulip shots for my music video, I intend to use them for my cover while naming all the album songs in center, aligned and starting from the top. The following options will be considered;
