Social Media Page

In an age where Tik Tok stars are sat down by the US president to help with an ongoing war in Ukraine is an age where you cannot deny the importance of Social Media. From Influencers to artists that were solely defined by social media , any and every individual that hopes to have a global existence must establish their identity first on Social Media to prove their identity.

So I went ahead and did just that. I created an Instagram for my artist. I turned it into a professional account so that the Musician label could be seen.

My first action was to go ahead and post the Angora Anarchy brand logo video .It was to give a small mystery to the audience, while also captioning it with the artist name, Angora Anarchy in all caps I repeated it in every line to perhaps add a touch of anticipation.

While I was supposed to post all of these with gaps whilst sharing it simultaneously , I had found myself on a tight schedule with my CAIES coming up soon for other subjects, so I left the idea of entering it slowly into the world like any real product would and went ahead making a lot of posts in the same time frame.

The next few posts revolved around introducing the artist, the album and giving the audience a day in between till the album drops. I introduced the artist by using a clip of the performance and overlaying the ink, much like I did in the actual video. Followed by an introductory post, the album name and the artists with a shot of ink being diffused into the water in the background.

The next work I posted was something I created on illustrator , it was an artwork of a different sort from the rest of the posts. I had observed this sort of posts that stood out on the social media pages to Foster the People and Radiohead. Nowhere similar ,but in essence just a piece of digital art meant to further the album promotion.

The next prominent piece of work that I would like to discuss here would be the introduction of merchandise for the artist's album. Creating this cost me a limb and a half ( not really but come on, my brain felt numb by the time I was done with this)

After finding the pattern on Canva I went ahead and used it to overlay on my T-Shirt and and bucket hat. However, to use it on the bucket had I change the blend mode first to multiply ,then after duplicating it I changed it to light.

The overly for any of the T-shirts and Hoodies was not as easy as it was to make it look fake and just on top. So after using a clipping mask, I blend it and use clone tool on several corners to make it look less fake.

I also created this article for the page, ( it took me two whole nights) but I decided not to use it because on closer inspection I found that it did not match the work I was looking to put out and after spending ages on it, it still had that degree of fake-ness which was hard to swallow for me.
